I just purchased a 1911 Sears from a friend here in the Clearwater area of Florida. I am a brass era car guy with Fords, Maxwells, Whites and a Buick, so the Sears will really be something new. I am anxious to get in to the car and learn about it. My wife and I like driving all our cars, and we hope this will be the same. Bob Most 813-335-1300

Want to purchase a single seat Sears buggy, any year OK. Not interested in a buckboard or two seat model. Prefer fully restored well running car or an original/older restoration that would take little to get running again. Not interested in a project car. Have cash for immediate purchase. Was looking for information on the Sears Motor Buggy since my neighbor has one and needed some details on the year built vrs. the year it was sold and titled. It seems that production got ahead of sales even at the low price plus shipping. So units built may have waited for sales to catch up and since the model was almost unchanged it seems not to have been of much interest as to which year they were built or shipped at the time of delivery.

I happened to visit the Albertson's Supermarket parking lot for their weekly hot rod show last Friday night and the star of the cars present was a 1909 Sears Motor Buggy. Apparently it's owned locally. What a really enjoyable experience.

I found a fellow (Kermit Wilke) with a wealth of knowledge from Wilcox, NE. He has been working on my 1911 Sears for a couple weeks now. I just got the word that he has it up and running now. I can't wait to give it a spin.

Thanks to Chuck Sharpe for his work in organizing the Sears Motor Buggy 100+3 Gathering at the Old Car Festival. It was great to make new Sears friends and reconnect with 2009 100+1 Gathering friends! Sandy
