Hi John--Great website. I had never heard of a Sears Buggy until a mention of it on Jay Leno's website by Andy Holck, whose distant relative designed the car. Pretty cool old car! It must have been exciting to live in those days when people were transitioning from horse-drawn carriages to motorized carriages! I live in Nashville, TN, where the Marathon automobile was built in 1914-1915. The old factory is still there, and is in use for several other businesses, and they even still have one or two complete, running Marathons. Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm for the old Sears! Scott

Thanks for maintaining this informative site. I am trying to buy a Sears, and if you have any leads I would appreciate them. I have an IHC high wheeler which can be viewed on my website www.kroll.id.au and I love it. But I really want a Sears. Again, thanks for maintaining the register. I'll send my numbers when I eventually buy a car. And I will buy a car - just a matter of when. Cheers Merv Kroll

First time to visit your web site. Very nice, I have the orginal Sears car SN 1884 once owned by MGM Studios that was... used in the movie "Excuse My Dust". I have owned this car since 1990 and purchased it for my car museum from Leland Kious and Paul Kious.

Today sears has a chance to put America on the map by again producing an electric truck and car. Utilize the Metro narrow wheel base truck design and make an all wheel drive Die Hard battery dual induction motor drive system with seaman's controls and a plain dash, electric air conditioning and heater, plus on board single cylinder diesel electric on board AC generator, with rectifier.

How can you perform a reverse license plate owner research? I want to know whether there is any good way you can enter in a license plate number on the web and see the full name of the individual if it is associated to or perhaps the address of that person. Can anyone help me? This is an The state of illinois plate with S in the end of it. Please email me if you're able to do a search or post if you know the way to do a free one. Thanks in advance.

Doing some research on Richard W Sears. My husband's daddy bought a mercantile store in Yorktown, TX. One of the items was a "Fireless Cooker". On the plaque it says: Perfect Fireless Cooker; Sears; Minneapolis, MN I do believe that this is a prototype made by Richard Sears, himself and would like to know how to go about authenticating said cooker. As far as I have found out Sears was the inventor and Roebuck the businessman. Do you know of anyone who would be interested in said fireless cooker. Or do you know of any sites that one can view older issues of Sears catalogs for free. My name: Sherie Johnston (386) 336-7352

I am from New Jersey and saw the Sears in New Speingfield at a visit to Don Snyder. As chairman of the American Truck Historical Society I meet many interesting people. A friend in Livingston N.J. has had a Sears for 50 years and has invited me to be part of the restoration. This site will surley be a help to this project.
